Kids' Portraits, November 2012

These beautiful kids are growing up so quickly.

 

 

 

 

 

Sarah was not about to smile for our photographer that day.  She is actually sitting on my legs (covered by a black blanket).  That was the only way she would consent to sit on the canvas.

  

 

  

Afterward, we took Sarah's picture in the backyard with her bear.

Snow Canyon, November 2012

We bought a heater for our tent trailer and decided to head out for one last trip while the kids were off track.  Notice the "trolley" at the gas pump.

 The scenery in Snow Canyon was absolutely beautiful.  We took several small hikes with the kids.

 

 

 

The kids enjoyed exploring by our campsite.

 

 Sarah was Dad's backpack buddy.

 

 

The "Pioneer Names" hike ends at this rock, where lots of pioneers inscribed their names.

 Sarah enjoyed "bopping" her daddy with this branch.

 We also took the kids to play in the sand dunes.  It was the biggest, most amazing sandbox ever.

We took a walk around the St George temple.

 We also took a hike to a slot canyon.

We had reserved a hotel for our last night since there was snow in the forecast.  We swam in the indoor pool while we watched the storm through the windows.

 

I think we are getting addicted to camping!

November 2012

The kids had fun jumping in the leaves at the park.

 

 Sarah thinks the Lego wagon is a stroller.

 Austin is a great help in the kitchen.

Sarah loves nursery (as long as we are with her).

 We went to a special story time at the Salt Lake library for a joy school field trip.

Sarah enjoyed watching from a distance.

 

Mary took Sarah sledding in the backyard.

 We took a trip to the planetarium when we were off track.

Sarah and Austin loved watching the auto-kinetic sculpture.

 A quick trip to Mars.

Tyson and Milo came over for a babysitting swap.  Milo and Austin were David's buddies and helped him fix the tail light on his car.

 Melanie and Morgan's family also came over for Thanksgiving dinner.  It was tons of fun.  We thought it was funny that David and Morgan both went out shopping by themselves on Thanksgiving morning while Melanie and I were cooking.  We are now the proud owners of a Belgian waffle maker.

 The kids had a blast.

Thanksgiving weekend also included a Jazz game--our seats were on the very top row in the upper bowl.  I got a lot of exercise taking the kids to the restroom and looking for Sarah's lost shoe!
