Anna's Birthday

Princess Anna turned four today!  We hosted joy school this morning and had a party with Daddy tonight. This is Anna's princess dress.  "It is beautiful, and it has butterflies and flowers," she explains.  No other dress will do. Mary is currently wearing the Tinkerbell dress that Anna received for her birthday. Anna cracks us up.

First day of kindergarten

Mary and I went to kindergarten this morning!
Here's the backpack shot:
I also figured out how to use the self-timer on our camera! I was very glad parents were invited to attend kindergarten the first day. Mary had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back. Her teacher is so patient and kind that I know she will be in good hands.

Austin's birthday

Austin is crazy about Thomas the Train. When he wakes up in the morning, he usually says, "Downstairs! Thom-sss!"
Mary and Anna helped me make him a Thomas cake during his nap.
We had lots of fun going to music class, blowing bubbles, and playing with water balloons.
Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner and cake.
This little boy brings a lot of energy and happiness to our family.

Summer fun

Here's a little of what we've been doing this summer:

The children enjoyed a visit to the children's museum.
Daddy put on a play for the girls.
Austin showed off his musical skills.
Anna took everyone for a "drive" in the firetruck.
We go to "the slides" a lot.
Taking our bikes to the riding trail
Feeding ducks at the farm
"We're swimming in chocolate milk!" It took two tubs of clean water to wash all of the "chocolate milk" off afterwards.
A day at the park

Our "baby" is almost two!

The tooth fairy came!

Mary lost her first tooth eating watermelon on Saturday at a primary dinner! She was sad for a minute because it hurt a little, but then she got very excited. "Are you sooo proud of me, Mom?" she asked. She couldn't wait to call her grandmas and tell them the good news.
Here's the tooth. She couldn't wait for the tooth fairy to come and had a hard time sleeping. She said, "I want the tooth fairy to see my pony tails, so I want to keep them in all night. "
Anna is showing off her full set of teeth. The snakes are from arts and crafts class. Their names are Root Beer and Watermelon.
