November 2013

We found out the pumpkin patch is deserted on November 1st!  Our being behind schedule made things a lot of fun for our little explorers.

Everyone wants to hold "Tylie."

Sarah calls this "Darth Vader Ghost."
The kids love making games for each other.
Happy birthday, Dad!  Everyone is helping with the cake.

Mary and Mom had an Activity Days date!  This marked the beginning of lots of fun with Rainbow Loom bands.

 Cool, dude!

Halloween, October 2013

We started off the Halloween season with a cousins' party.  It was a blast!
We had some creative costumes this year.  We made Mary this ghost costume, but she changed her mind about it...

and became a princess.
Austin and Sarah's costumes were inspired by our current favorite book, "Rabbit and Robot: The Sleepover."
Austin was Robot:
Sarah was Rabbit:

The costume parade at school was a big hit, even though Mom's photography skills were sub par and Anna declined to be photographed.
One of the teachers dressed up as Ms. Frizzle from the "Magic School Bus."
 We trick-or-treated in the neighborhood.
Tyler was a milk-fed pumpkin.
Sarah was pretty excited to have her little brother join the festivities.  "Happy Howwoween!"

Anna's 7th Birthday, October 2013

Anna invited a lot of girls from her class over for a Halloween-themed birthday party.  It was fun to get to know them.
We made jack-o-lantern water bottles and did some 3-D Halloween painting.
The kids sang "Happy Birthday" and "Joyeux Anniversaire."  Mom put down the camera when Anna started to pick up the candles!
Grandma and Grandpa Luke sent games in the mail, providing hours of fun.
Anna brings so much happiness to our home.  We are so thankful for her.

Bear Lake, October 2013

We took a quick trip to Bear Lake to check it out.  It was very quiet during the off season.  The scenery on the drive there reminded us of Narnia.
Tyler had his own little bed in our KOA cabin.  The kids were very excited for him to take his first vacation.

The kids and their stuffed hamsters enjoyed the bunk beds.

We played miniature golf and hung out at the playground.

The beach was cold but beautiful.
Mary took lots of pictures of the seagulls.

October 2013

Everyone wants to spend time with Tylie!
Sarah loves to help take care of "Mommy's baby" and "Darah's babies."

Which one is real?

Sarah is a big help at bath time.

Austin is a wonderful big brother.  I used to tell him bedtime stories about Thomas the Train.  Next, they were about "I Got Garbage," his garbage truck.  Then we told stories about Honk Honk the semi truck and his friend Gnnetat the cat.  Now they are all about Austin and Tyler (and usually a monster truck).
 Good morning!
At night time, Tyler "sleeps" in everyone's beds to tell them good night.

We stopped at a school to make giant leaf piles.  The kids took turns getting thrown into the leaves by Daddy.
