April 2014

On April Fool's Day, the kids played lots of tricks.  They cut E's out of brown construction paper and "baked" them in the oven to make "brown e's" for Dad.  We also made a fake Dad to scare real Dad when he came home from work.  It worked!  The kids were delighted when real Dad punched fake Dad.
Look at Sarah's hair!
Mom and Dad went on a date with Tyler.

The kids showed off their school artwork at Art Night.

Austin did basketball after school and really improved his skills.
Tyler is looking forward to learning how to play with Austin.

Tyler didn't like food much until he was about eight months old.
 A day at the park.
The annual egg-coloring event:
Happy Easter!  Austin ran away at picture time.

The kids loved hunting for Easter eggs at Aunt Andrea's house.

 Twins?
Mary got a cabbage plant from school and took very good care of it in the garden.  She was very worried every time Mom made cabbage that it was her cabbage from the garden.  Once she dreamed that Mom was "microwaving it up for dinner."
 Tyler is growing very quickly.
 Peas, Camer, and Sarah.

Miss Fleur went to an Activity Days talent show with Mary for her piano duet.  She said Mary did a great job.
Tyler took his first ride in a shopping cart and loved it.

Sarah's birthday, April 2014

Sarah was so excited to turn three! Grandma and Grandpa Luke gave her a birthday medal.
Opening presents with Grandma:
Sarah got lots of toys for her baby dolls:

Austin helped her assemble them:

 Sarah chose strawberry shortcake.

Sarah's babies are named Peas, Camer, Floda, Tinda, Pink, Fire, Baba, Binky, Butterfly, Kate Kitty, Sleepy Jone, and Sheepie.  And, of course, Tyler.  There is usually a birthday every day at our house for one of Sarah's babies.  Here are Sarah and Floda:

And here's Tyler:

We love our Sarah!

March 2014

We found a fun local hike in March.

Mary, Anna, and Austin all learned how to ride without training wheels on the same day!

Mary's birthday, March 2014

Mary had a "butterfly birthday."
The girls went on a treasure hunt to find Mary's presents and discover the secret of how butterflies get their colors.
 Joyeux Anniversaire!

Diana painted our faces.

Grandma and Grandpa Luke came for Sunday dinner.

They brought a very special music box.  This is one of Mary's prized possessions.
Happy birthday, dear Mary!
