Early the next morning, we very nearly missed the Eurostar train, which sped along at 178 mph.

What a relaxing treat to be in an English-speaking country!
We walked from King's Cross/St. Pancras Station to our hotel, where we were loaned umbrellas for a rainy morning.

The rain disappeared after a few minutes but we carried the umbrellas the rest of the day. We went to the first pub we found on the way to the Tower of London. David ordered an English breakfast:
And I had to try fish and chips:
On to the Tower of London:
The Line of Kings exhibition shows figures of armored kings riding wooden horses.

The display of the Crown Jewels was spectacular.
No photography is allowed in the exhibit, ...
but this is what it looks like:
Tyler really liked the Tower of London:

The Tower Bridge was amazing.

Is that another smile? I think Tyler really liked London:
We took a tour of the Tower Bridge.

Another glass floor!
Next, we took a short cruise on the Thames. Waiting in line to board the boat, we realized Tyler's shoe was missing. I started to backtrack while David saved our place in line. I passed some tourists who were talking about a little boy's lost shoe in French. I told them it was my little boy's shoe, they described where it was, and I found it seconds before David and Tyler boarded. As I ran back down the platform, the French tourists cheered for the missing chaussure.
Got an umbrella and both of my shoes!
We passed lots of landmarks on the cruise.

No photography is allowed in the interior of the spectacular Westminster Abbey:
The outside of the Abbey was as much fun as the inside:
Tyler ran wild and free on the grounds:

We rode a red double-decker bus by Trafalgar Square:
We made a quick visit to the British Museum:
Tyler was getting tired and cranky.

We found a pub just around the corner from out hotel:

We passed on the bar offerings.

I ordered curry, and David had bangers and mash.
