Iron Blosam, June 2013

Our favorite family activity in June was going to the Iron Blosam resort with Grandma and Grandpa. David's coworker was kind enough to give us one of their timeshare nights.  Grandma and Grandpa didn't get to sleep over, but we had lots of fun with them in the evening.
We rode the chair lift.

We saw lots of rodents.

And how about these swings?!
I didn't get a picture, but Mary and Anna got to sleep on a wall hideaway bed.  It was a fun getaway, even though we had to hurry back to work and school in the morning.

June 2013

In June, we went camping at Tanners Flat.  We went with friends for the first time and loved it.
The kids did a lot of exploring together.
Sarah loved sitting in front of the fire.  Austin was a little nervous and stayed in the tent trailer for a while, but he finally came out to see it, too.
The next day, the kids watched a man catch a fish and rode the chair lift at a nearby resort.
Later in the month, cousins came to sleep over!
Sarah enjoyed this dinosaur playground.
Austin and Sarah build a lot with Legos.
We haven't seen one of these in years!
Mary at City Creek:

Sarah loves books...
and when the other kids take all the chopsticks at dinnertime, she improvises!

Anna's Kindergarten Graduation, June 2013

Our Anna graduated from kindergarten!
She didn't want to be photographed, but I captured a still from a video:
Austin, Sarah, my belly, and I had to share one chair, but we got a good seat!  We were so proud of our sweetie.  Here Anna is singing, "Vole, Vole, Vole, Papillon" with her class:
Anna worked hard and learned so much this year!

Mary's Play, June 2013

Mary's class performed a play called "De L'eau por sa Majesté!" or "Water for His Majesty!"  There is no water in the kingdom, and people keep trying to bring substitutes to the king and queen. Finally, it rains at the end of the play.

Mary was Madame Paris and wore a dress covered with roses.  She performed her part twice because the girl who had her role in the other class got sick.

English:
The first chamberlain: This is a lady who comes from afar!
Queen: Good morning, Madam!
Mrs. Paris: Hello, your majesty! I bring you some water! (She holds a small vial.)
Queen: Mmm ... it smells good! What is it?
Mrs. Paris: This is Rose Water!
All look the bottle and shake their heads "no." The lady nods that she's sorry and remains on the scene.
Mary spoke her lines loudly and confidently.  She did a wonderful job.

May 2013

May was a fun month for us.  The kids' primary was featured in the Friend Magazine.  Mary is in the very front row, on the right.  Anna is harder to see (behind the second and third kid to the left of the sign).  Austin ran away from the picture just before it was taken.
The kids took lots of shots of Sarah.  She loves to dress up!

Sarah likes to feed her animals and baby dollies.
We got to meet baby Harrison at his blessing.  He is a very handsome little guy.
We went to the children's museum while the kids were off track.  Sarah quickly tried on the cow costume.

The kids found a dragonfly outside.  Anna stepped on it without noticing it, and Sarah said, "Gary! [Scary!]"
This kid makes our days so much fun.

We also went camping at East Canyon Reservoir.
We missed having trees, but we went exploring.

Anna found a rock that looks just like a foot fossil.
We also went to the aviary with Kevin, Yoana, and Elie.

Sarah picked just about every flower in sight.

We took turns riding in the paddle boat afterwards.
We have some first-class swingers!
