Finishing our Oregon trip, May 2014

Back at Grandma and Grandpa's house, we did a lot of exploring.
Since their new house is not on the river, we had to find river access across the street.
Grandma made the kids a lot of smoothies with berries from her garden.
 The kids collected treasures.

Mom showed the family some sights on North Bank Road.
Dad had no idea Mom had lived this far out in the middle of nowhere.

We went to see our old family friends, the Laakaniemis.
On our tenth anniversary, David and I had a date with Tyler at a local Mexican restaurant.
.
David introduced Tyler to salsa.
And this was how Mom was able to eat her dinner.
We drove around town seeing the sights.  Best date ever.  Thanks for babysitting, Mom and Pops!
On our drive home the next day, we stopped to see Colliding Rivers and Mom's old junior high and high school.
We had to stop for a while because of road construction, so we just got out of the van and let the kids explore some more.  Aren't my boys handsome?

Lichens and moss, anyone?
We made a quick visit to Crater Lake.
For the final event of our vacation, a seagull swooped down and stole Mary's sandwich at a Subway picnic table.
